Traveling to Argynvostholt

General Summary

Excerpt from Seir’s Little Black Book (Session 3/08/22): Penned in Seir’s Messy Hand

Thoradin was transformed, but less dramatically than last time. Letho stayed with him to keep an eye on him.   I stunned a group of the belviews that seem to be heading towards the town, though Khaylen seemed to strongly believe that we needed to kill them. However, they just seemed to be scared and trying to get away so it seemed cruel to me. I ran ahead to the town to try and warn them about any of the chaos, and tried to convince the nearby belviews to avoid the area.   Clovin approached Thoradin and Letho. He was crying on Borokin’s shoulder over his damaged viola. Thoradin started asking Letho to release him. When Letho refused, Thoradin ripped through them. But he just started running around and chasing his tail and didn’t really seem to be doing much.   Khaylen, O, Zin and I went to the town and asked to speak with the baroness. We explained the situation to her by saying that the abbot has had a bunch of strange pets released. She (understandably) seemed exhausted and nervous about what had happened, and in fear of invoking the abbot’s ire she wanted us to leave. She walked with a noticeable limp.   Before we headed back, Thoradin and Letho hung out a bit. Letho made Thoradin pretend to be tied up if we came back while Clovin cried about there not being any booze nearby.   We regrouped with the rest of the party. Clovin passes out on the path. We discuss hiding Thoradin in the town versus in the woods. We decide to stay in the woods. Vasilca seems fairly sad that we left Clovin behind, but it didn’t seem to be realistic to bring him along with us.   He regrouped with us in the morning, and we decided to go to the Order of the Mystic Lake headquarters.   After a fairly uneventful hike, we encountered the massive mansion that was the order’s ancestral home. The building was in a state of disrepair. Out of the fog nearby we heard a peal of thunder, and in the woods behind us the howling of wolves. The house ahead was quiet.
