A Barovian Botanical: How Starvation of the Light has Changed Our Flora (Vilisevic, L. 614 ME) is a long, extremely extensive treatise that — though well and carefully written — would bore all but the most obsessive student of botany. The manuscript details hundreds of plant species native to the County of Barovia, with accompanying diagrams and illustrations, and argues a hypothesis that said flora has bloomed in curious (and often deadly ways) specifically due to the strange nature of Barovia's sunlight.
Curiously for a text written in Barovia, the author chose to write her Botanical in Mova, suggesting an interest in having it exported beyond the county. Despite this, the book was only printed a few dozen times, and few copies made it beyond the Mists.
