Journey Entry #3
I knew she'd give up her crown and key after we opened her entry way to the 2nd level! Okay, I was a strong 66% sure she would. Can't say a part of me didn't secretly want her to betray us so we could fight her. If we never see her again let it be on record that she is altogether the wrong person to end up as ruler.
Oh god, what if she finds a Telemond killing weapon before us and uses it to leverage power? Oh god...
I'm finally beginning to understand that the key to successful politics is two fold; restraint, and to be ready to fire first when one of the restrained becomes unrestrained.
Oh god, what if the Folly gets attacked again while we're away? Should I have left Oaf with them? The decision haunts me. Even so, I'm glad to have him at my side.

Okay that was an absolute fuckery of a day but at least we killed that hop along dude in the end. I'm still not sure Oaf is cut out for field work but goddamn I'm glad he was with us that time. At one point I looked over and three guys were hitting him and they couldn't land a single goddamn blow. Kept bouncin' off his damn armour. Good stuff. I have to remember to send that armourer more business. In other news not only is our money running low but supplies of Bolabesh are running low too. I gotta work on that. It's a lot of money to feed an army for all these months. In addition, the jackals could all use a major upgrade to their weapons and armor but I just don't see it in the budget. A lot of them are still using old maces and cudgels they were recruited with. Rusty and dull. Maybe it's time we start sharpening their shovels and teach them how to fight with them. It's a surprising versatile weapons when mastered correctly. After all, the Golanthian army's weapon of choice for recruits is the simple pike because that's what a lot of them know how to use from their days on the farm. A pike is as versatile as most farm tools when you look at it. Anyways, my point is that armies traditionally have learned to fight with the weapons they had immediate access to. Technically the shovels are of nicer steel than a lot of their weapons. Maybe I'll discuss with Grit.
