Sastara (Sahs-'tahr-ah)
Sastara is thought to be the eldest of the three Master Weavers of the The Spool. Operating directly under Guildmaster Lysentia Aelis, the three Master Weavers, sometimes called "the sisters," are some of the most powerful sorcerers in the city of Renelestre and are perhaps the most direct extensions of the Spool's power in the city.
Little is known about the actual background of the the three Master Weavers, and Sastara is no exception. She appeared in the City, having come from the world below along with Lysentia and her two "sisters," sometime in the middle of the 5th century, and immediately began to introduce various magical goods which eventually led to the formation of The Spool and the ubiquitous use of their products throughout the city. It has been speculated that Sastara and her sisters may function as some kind of priests within an unknown cultic order, but there is little evidence to support this, and any magic that has been displayed certainly doesn't fit any known domain. If she is a priest, it is of some unknown order, and would raise definite questions about the nature of the Shadowfane and the current understanding of the homogony of their religious and social beliefs.
