Patronage 200

The Patronage 200 is a list of companies assembled and managed by the federal government. Originally devised shortly after the global economic shock of 2019, the list was meant to be an American government approved list of sponsors municipal privatization. Heavily influenced by corporate lawyers (especially from Argus Transatlantic), the list has become the leading market thermometer and makes up the most powerful companies in the world.

Public Agenda

The Patronage 200 was originally intended to function as a regulatory body on the privatization of city governments. It quickly morphed into a market index.

History

Formed after the Municipal Patronage Act of 2019, the government put together a list of companies that met a list of requirements for taking over a city's governmental functions. States were left to individually approve the act. The intention was that within 5-10 years, companies would slowly be removed as the government repurchased municipalities.
The list has not seen any revision since it's inception.
