The Hand of Omestad serves as the local law enforcement with the power of the Crown behind it.
The Fingers are a known special operations unit within the Hand that takes its orders directly from the Crown.
Bahat does not support a standing military, but every sixty days all able bodied volunteers must show up for weapons and drill training. The Hand of Omestad in specific cases serves as smaller specialized units, such as battle mages, infiltration, or sabotage, etc.

Technological Level
Bahat has harnessed the mechanical advantages of machines and combined it with the reality bending abilities of magic and taken advantage of these two aspects in the formation of the city. Also taking advantage of itself being a new city and having dozens of examples use as inspiration.
Religion
A majority of the city worships Bahamut the Platinum Dragon as the savior and benefactor for the city's creation.

Standing out from the long time Pegalus tradition, Bahat has decriminalized prostitution and with it grown a market within its walls. The sale and use of common substances like Red Nettle, Fairweed, and Black Tear have also been decriminalized. This tends to drive tourism to Bahat.

Bahat has a large agricultural export being within the Seldom Plains, an area of black soil and highly fertile ground.

The Chainbrand Academy is an institution built to teach the lessons of the arcane.
There is also a state funded Academy for the children of the city, called the Starlight Conservatory a wide campus that houses orphans of the Harrowing and elsewhere, and it serves as a school for a basic education.

People attend a mass-like ceremony on the morning of Shadas every week for food, community events, and sermon.
