Solomon Waldere

Born in the year 1541, sixteen years after the end of Great Demon War, Solomon Waldere quickly rose to fame and glory thanks to his innate talent in the field of magic. He is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest, wizard to ever live. Many of the books used by aspiring mages to this day is filled with references to his work and research into the subject of magic.   One of his most notable contributions to study of magic, was his classification system, which allows those practising and researching magic, to more easily convey the specifics of their work. Simplifying it to its simplest form, his system broke down magic into eight schools of magic, each one broad and complex enough for mages to dedicate entire lifetimes of study and never truly master each one. The schools of magic were called: Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy and Transmutation. Since this system was introduced in the year 1591, it was quickly accepted and adapted across the known world and is still used in the world today.   He has time and again surprised the magical community with a new aspect of magic and its application. In recent years he has become a bit of a recluse, ignoring summons and requests of aid from anyone seeking an audience with him. Some have wondered if he had finally succumbed to old age, but the occasional transcript bearing his name and undisputable work does still make an appearance in magical institutes across the world. The transcripts that have been delivered from him appear to indicate his latest research endevours revolve around time maniputlation. Solomon has dubbed this particular field of magic 'chronomancy', adding a potential ninth classification of magic, and the first new addition to his original work since its integration over three centuries ago.
