Ch 00-1: Meeting Uriel
Ophelia's younger brother has wandered off again. Her mother has asked that you go look for him and bring him home.
While looking for the kenku, people say they saw him heading up towards the orchard. Enroute to the orchard, the party will see Gux, gathering plants near the path. If they ask him if they have seen the little Kenku, he will point North towards the forest. (A place he shouldn't be) If asked why he didn't stop him, Gucx will just stare at them for a long awkward moment before shrugging his shoulders at them, and resume gathering plants.
Note: Gux doesn't know who Ophelia's brother is, but he did see someone (Uriel) over that way by the blighted forest.
As they make their way through the woods, they will eventually come across a region of the woods blocked by thick, black vines with thorns. (Asog has heard of this place, as it appeared recently and his father warned him to stay away from there.) Darnalore will hear a voice beckoning them, but can't make out what is being said.
If they venture in to the blighted woods, then Uriel will save them after a close encounter with a blighted plant/animal. If they decide to check the surrounding area, they will eventually come across a elderly human (Uriel) who is surprised to see them. He was in the process of gathering some supplies for an experiment. He will invite them back to his tower (If they insist on finding ophelia's brother, he will ask for a description and then cast the scrying spell to locate the little birb, discovering him to be with Ophelia's mother.
If the party go with him to the tower then he will gift them all a similar looking necklace made with a piece of pink crystal, and asks them to keep it safe and wear it at all times as it will help to protect them. He will then offer to teach them things.
If the party refuses and returns to the village, then the next day they will be gathered together and be introduced to Uriel, and be informed that he is to be their teacher.
