Like many others, he was often sent out to check out interesting ruins and arcane phenomena. The heavy presence of the gods was always of great interest. Rickvon's role was usually to keep threats away. There wasn't much else he could do with evocation but destroy after all. He was sent with a party to investigate Amygdalan (illithids) ruins near a planar breach when he encountered the Id.

Rickvon Stonebarrel is an apprentice evoker of the Plinth of Knowledge. While he has always held a connection to the elements, the small wizard has never sought to bind them to his will. He always seeks to find more, to learn more, and to become more.
