Mount Draksil
Geography
A lonely mountain in the southern reaches of Sarosnear the mouth of Blackfen Bay, Mount Draksil is a massive volcano. Having erupted many times in the past, Mount Draksil is a harbinger of doom for most of Saros when it awakens. The last time it erupted, the entire peak of the mountain exploded and was scattered across the southern half of the continent. Since then the rumbling depths have been put to rest for hopefully an eternity. Around the base of the mountain is a barren landscape of volcanic rock and ash. From the multiple eruptions and scattered rocks of the peak, the Cinder Hills have formed, spreading across the entire peninsula from shore to shore.
Fauna & Flora
Very few creatures live in the region around the volcano, mostly scavengers, and lizard kin that find comfort in the barren landscape and heat of the volcano's depths. Even fewer are the plant life found around the mountain, almost completely barren with no greenery in sight except for the charred or partially destroyed trees that in the area that make it resemble a bleak hellscape. However, there is an occasional flower or weed blooming from the ground.
Natural Resources
With little resources that support life in the area, the most someone can gather from the region is the fertile soil that comes from the volcanic rock when used in a more calm environment. Beneath the soil and rock however, there is a plentitude of minerals both scattered from the explosions or uncovered in their wake.
