Spirit of Rebellion
He shall be born under the Morning Star. On the night of insurrection, he shall rip the Star from the skies and end the unjust.
"The Spirit of Rebellion" is a phantom haunting many Sknelan kings. The tale originated in the Dayani Kingdom, during the Bagvush dynasty’s rule. It is believed to be Eraklion's ghost, seeking retribution from Bagvushs for dethroning his friend Jehseh. As it soars across the lands, the restless spirit ignites defiance and encourages people to oppose the crown.
Historic records speak of numerous Bagvush kings consumed by paranoia as time went on. Some described a silent looming figure, others - a mocking apparition counting the days till their downfall. Many laughed it off as a superstition, yet couldn’t help but await its appearance.
“Can’t you see him? He’s glaring… Glaring I say!”

“His breath crawls down my neck. My days are numbered.”
It is known as the Spirit of Resistance in Firoz, following its subjugation by Dayani spasalari Lavran Lavvaley.
Numerous rebels throughout history claimed to be the Spirit of Rebellion or aided by its guidance. Malkisaidek is the most noteworthy example. As he declared himself Jehseh’s descendant, his allies swiftly called him the Spirit. Despite people’s suspicions, Malkisaidek’s victory over King Kole Bagvush dispelled most doubts.
I love the artwork. Spectacularly creepy. I love the idea of a spectre hanging over the shoulders of every king.
