Gornjak Dvorik Eberksen Silverstone (a.k.a. The Great Reformist)

Dvorik Silverstone was the first Gornjak of his clan, starting a ruling dynasty that is still in power to this day. He was put on the throne after the previous Gornjak died without an heir and the royal genealogists had to trace several branches of cousins to find the next in line. Dvorik's father had died just two years prior to this from some rare disease, but his bloodline was connected through several generations to the royal family.
Dvorik quickly became known as a reformer as he sought to modernize the dwarven city and bring it into the Second Age. One of his first actions after taking the throne was to open his city up to outsiders and establish regular diplomatic contact with foreign nations. Prior to his rule, outsiders were forbidden from even entering Gel Morgran except in very rare circumstances. He also oversaw many changes to the laws, tax codes, and a general loosening of the previously tight religious laws that governed the then-kingdom. Because of these changes, he earned the honorific The Great Reformer.
Dvorik fortunately never showed any signs of his father's illness and was able to live a long, natural life before passing off his crown. His descendants have continued to carry on his legacy and are always seeking to bring the dwarven city at least closer to the modern standards if not past them.

Reign

Dvorik took the throne in 334 2A, at the age of 65. He ruled for 200 years, passing the throne to his eldest daughter upon his death.
