Gornjak (gorn-yak)

The title of Gornjak is the hereditary head of state of Gel Morgran. The title is passed to the oldest child of the current ruler, or to the ruler's youngest sibling if they have no children at the time of death or abdication. The power of the Gornjak is somewhat limited, as the city-state is a parliamentary monarchy, and the 150-member parliament keeps a close check on the powers of the monarch.
