Ministari el'Prima

Origins and Etymology

Ministari el'Prima have existed since before the Age of Discovery, alongside The Order of Dragons. As such, it is unknown when the first Ministari appeared. Ministari el'Prima is an Elven phrase that translates to 'Servant of the Primal' as they defend the work of the Primal Dragons. The term was adopted almost exactly into the shared Old Tongue as Ministare ol'Prima, which in turn is the origin of the title Ministar Prima that serves as the head of some governments across Axora. Colloquially the Ministari are often simply known as Ministers, though in regions headed by a Ministar Prima they are more likely to be referred to as Hands of the Dragon, to avoid confusion.

Role in Society

The Ministari rarely spend time in populated areas. They view it as their duty to protect the land the Primal Dragons created. Whether they were directly connected to The Order of Dragons prior to the Age of Discovery is unknown, or even if one led to the other but it is undeniable that they share a common mindset, which is why some regions refer to them as Hands of the Dragon instead. The Ministari do not prescribe to the possessions side of the Order's doctrines, however, and are solely focused on the preservation of the world.
Strictly speaking, anyone may declare themselves as a Ministari but recognition as one by the general public is typically determined on reputation. As such, those that seek to become Ministari often feel like they must earn that title and will not use it until their deeds are deemed great enough.
The Ministari do not belong to any singular nation or area. It is rumoured they have a settlement of their own, but none who are not Ministari have ever seen it firsthand - or at least recorded it if they have.

Ministari Through History

Due to their general prowess in battle, Ministari are often sought as allies through conflict. However, barring incredibly rare exceptions, the Ministari remain neutral through any wars between Axorans. The only time when Ministari have regularly fought alongside the armies of Axora was during The Cataclysm War since that was a war between the Light and the Dark.
