Fractier

Overview

A species creaated by The Shadow and are among the rarer races of Veldren on Axeram. Their name when translated into other languages means fractured or shattered, thus they are also referred to as such. Compared to the mortal races they have an extended lifespan since they live between 600-700 years, though this is not the highest lifespan of other Veldren.

Appearance

The skin tone of Fractier vary from ghostly whites to dark greys. Their hair on the other hand are far less monochromatic. Whilst they can have hair that come in shades of black, grey and white, they are also known to naturally have pastel hair colours. The majority of Fractier have crystalline horns or antlers that vary from large to small and come in all kinds of shapes. Whilst less common, the Fractier are also capable of having shattered horns that can still hover above their heads in the shape of horns, much like pieces of shattered glass. Eye colour is more commonly among lighter and more vibrant colours. Darker eye colours are often indicative of other Veldren species being mixed in with their family history . Their height varies much the same as humans though the majority lean towards the taller end of the spectrum.   It is unsure why the Shadow created the Fractier to look this way as in most cases the Ven designed their species to resemble themselves; though the Fractier couldn't be further from the appearance of their creator. The only recognisable link between the two is that their innate magic is identical to that used by the Shadow. Some speculate that they are directly channelling its power, though most believe it comes from their blood since they were made.

History

Although the Fractier originated from the Dreamer's Abyss, their first home on Axeram was the continent of Alisrin. However, the events of The Mortal Ascension killed off the majority of their kind and most have spread out around the world into the cultures they personally found befitting of their ideals. Since they are considered an endangered race there are very few pure bloodlines left with most having mingled with other Veldren species.
