North Company

Overview

When the North Company caravan started out they quickly found that they may have had the short end of the game. Each Cardinal Company (Companies of West, East, South, and North), went in their separate directions to see who could become the most profitable. While the frozen north certainly had its share of treasures, it was difficult to conduct business in any large capacity due to a small population. Eventually, the company had to begin setting up shop further south and even into the east and west in order to spur growth. Of course, this drew the ire of the other cardinal companies as it was seen as overstepping their bounds. In fairness to North Company, the others were doing the same thing. It turns out that it is not healthy for a growing business to remain confined to one corner of the world.
North company is currently lead by Melinda "Metal Eye" Snowfall. Melinda took over the company when a sudden avalanche buried a convoy that Tien Greenpath was part of. The company was beginning to fall apart due to the power vacuum causing infighting. Melinda prevailed over the competition after some weeks and got North Company back on track in time to accept Skyler Varywind's offer to join the Union of the Cardinal Directions.

Company Founder

North Company was founded by Toly Greenpath, along with his brothers who each founded the other three cardinal companies. The entire venture began on a bet between the four brothers on which direction would be the most profitable. The drive to win this bet ultimately sprung four of the largest guilds on the continent.

"Cardinal Specialty" - Remarkable Metals

Setting up shop has yielded an abundance of metal, usually of Ancient Order make, that has earned the North Company a reputation for having the best metals one can buy. When one wants to make the best armor and weapons, they will purchase remarkable metals from North Company.
