Overview

The smallest of the eastern states of the Continental Island of Lluvia, the Grand Duchy of Vychod is really four duchies (Ales, Ester, Marketa, Východ) unified under the rule of the Grand Duke. Vychod is known for the varied creations of its local artisans. The artisans of Vychod are known for their immaculate paintings, moving poetry, and elaborate plays. The country is also known to maintain a neutral position during disputes whenever possible.

Plátno

The Artistic City of Plátno is the capital city of Vychod. It is also the center of artistic expression in the country as well as the central seat of government. Platno is located in the Vychod Duchy along the southern shoreline of the Kopí Penninsula .

The Three Duchies of Vychod

Duchy of Ales This north easternmost duchy borders the territory of the Xeta Magocracy. Due to increasing tensions with Xeta over its increasing use of necromancy, Ales is becoming more militarized as a precautionary measure. Elvesiden is the main settlement of this duchy.
Duchy of Ester This north westernmost duchy is located on the rocky slopes approaching the Violetti Mountains. This duchy is best known within Vychod for its mining of rare metals, gems, and pigments. The city of Klenot is build atop a rocky hill near the slopes of the mountains, and near the Duchy's most productive mines.
Duchy of Marketa The largest duchy, this is located along the hilly lands approaching the slopes of the Valtava Mountains to the west. Like Ales, Marketa is also leaning towards militarization due to the continued eastward advance of the Kingdom of Helia. It's great port city of Napláži, located along the southern coastline of the grand duchy, is a source of sea trade.
Duchy of Vychod The smallest duchy is also its most powerful one. This has to do with its history with the Ōnami Thalassocracy in the past. The duchy continues to maintain relations with the Azumanami Thalassocracy, the country that succeeded the Onami after their downfall. The Duchy of Vychod is almost entirely located within the Kopí Penninsula whose shores are sheer cliffs. This has made Vychod and its city of Platno unusually defensible.

Annual Art Exhibition

Vychod hosts an annual exhibition of its best art for the continent to see. This exhibition is a major part of the country's economy drawing tourists from nearby lands. Visitors as far away as the Isychia Valley to the west make regular journeys to the art exhibition to experience Vychod's latest offerings.
