The Crystal Emperor/Empress

The ruler that united the Valley or the ruler that divided it. These are the two major opinions of the title known as Crystal Emperor. While existing for a short time, it has made its impact on Aerinor and the lands nearby. It is a promise to unify the culture under one banner. It is a call to war against any who would challenge this claim. And it is a warning about the ambitions of rulers. The fate of the Valley is the fate of this title. For the Crystal Emperor to rise, they must do so with the Valley beneath them.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

With the two emperors thus far, there has been no recognized where to removal or dismiss an emperor. However, an emperor can use to give up the crown, most likely to give it to their heir as Eren Draganar did due to poor health when he crowned Edward Draganar as the new Emperor.

History

The title came to be when Eren Draganar was proclaimed Emperor of Crystalia. Since then, it has been passed on to his son, Edward and will eventually pass on to Edward's son, William, as well. The entire war between Crystalia and its forces is predicated on the existence of the Crystal Emperor. If Crystalia were to lose this conflict, this rank would have to be destroyed along with it to prevent something like this from ever happening again.

Cultural Significance

Across Aerinor and the nearby cultures, the Crystal Emperor represents a change that hasn't been seen in the Aerin Valley in ages. To those that support Crystalia, it is a sign that centralization and unification is possible and this position has caused a shockwave, causing other nations to try and unify their separate peoples as well, especially in Elu and Risir regions. To enemies of Crystalia, it is a threat to everything they stand for and a threat to their traditions and history. The majority of the Aerin Valley and Khazun nations see the Crystal Emperor in this light.

Notable Holders

  • Eren Draganar III. The first holder of the title, Eren was crowned by followers of Kashir the Valiant in 1200. He was the one who proclaimed to his people and the Aerin Valley his goal of unifying their people under a single banner. He also conquered the Loshill region and created peace between Crystalia and many Bakoren tribes of the Jade Coast.
  • Edward Draganar. The second and current holder of the title. His greatest achievement so far has been the conquest of Beru but time will tell if he will add anymore achievements to his name.
