Psycosantium (Sigh-koh-sant-ee-um)

Psycosantium crystals grow usually on asteroids or deep underground when certain chemicals combine and compress. They contain some innate level of energy which causes them to glow faintly and oddly effects their physical properties including inherent mass/gravity. Interestingly, this causes the crystals to be lighter than air, allowing them to float when not affixed to a solid surface. It also makes the material very slightly radioactive.
Psycosantium can be ground up into a powder and ingested. When this happens, a strong temporary psychosis along hallucinogenic effect is induced, along with the total numbing of pain throughout the body. Because of this, it is used as a drug throughout the galaxy, mostly illegally. Medical usage is nearly nonexistent due to the tendency of violence upon use of the drug. However, some military regiments in the Walren Empire notably use the drug to supplement their battle capabilities, intentionally going into a berserker rage that cannot be stopped by the induction of pain.
