Ittalias

Situated on the gleaming eastern coast of the Strait of Dormuz, Ittalias is a heavily populated industrial city within the Jasani empire. Thousands of birdfolk emigrate from far and wide to this thriving metropolis to enjoy its infinitely-booming economy. However, it is most known for its access to essential strategic resources that fuel its industry and economic growth. These are primarily coal and Seafire. Difficult to obtain, but essential for both industry and warfare, these resources have made Ittalias a vital city for supplying Jasani's military-industrial complex.

Demographics

The city's population, mostly immigrants seeking opportunity and work from the mines and refineries, is almost exclusively lower-class. Most of the city is Sparalus, Hirundine, and Paridus. Some Sialan and Apodine also frequent the streets.

Industry & Trade

Due to its valuable resources Ittalias is covered in factories, mines, and seafire refineries. Hundreds of buildings belch thick black smoke into the sky year round. Most of the things produced by this industry is shipped directly to the Jasani city of Constolba, where it is used to construct weapons and fuel the country's massive war machine.

Natural Resources

One of the most notable aspects of the city is its plentiful access to two key strategic resources; coal and Seafire. Seafire in particular is a valuable commodity from its use as a naval weapon and how difficult it is to obtain. Though it exists in massive supply throughout the globe, in most regions it is trapped deep underground and beyond the reach of Avani technology. Ittalias is one of the few places in the world that seafire deposits are easy to harvest.
