The Brotherhood of Blessed Iron

Structure

The Power Structure within the Iron brotherhood is narrow.
Acolytes- Lowest Level Members of the Iron Brotherhood, They assist the brothers with their work on the forge. They are not taught the secrets of steel until they have given 10 years of their faithful service to the Brotherhood.
3rd Brother- The lowest ranked proper brother. They perfect their skills on lesser works and minor tasks. They are not true masters, but any one who becomes a brother is a smith of great skill. They assist in the prayers of Blessed Steel. A 3rd brother who forges a Masterwork of every arm known to the brotherhood is promoted to 2nd Brother
2nd Brother- Their job, when not forging is to pray over the Blessed Silver, the most valuable of their resources. They are master smiths that forged the person arms of the hands of Light, their work, when it makes it to non devoted hands is highly prized. The Council of Second Brothers elects the first brother.
1st Brother- Leader of the Ironbrother, the only one who possess the secret to Divine Silver. All other brothers obey the first one.

Culture

For the Brother Hood, to smith is an act of worship, to study is an act of worship, to train and refine one's skill is an act of worship. To be a brother is to take pride in your work, to make each piece you craft greater than the one before it. To make subpar work is to shame yourself and the brotherhood.

Public Agenda

Their mandate is to worship through their works of silver and steel. They obey but do not worship the Radiant. They give the Cult their arms, for there is no greater joy than seeing your Steel sever the evil from the blessed land.

Assets

The Ironbrotherhood do not keep too much in terms of coin. Their needs are provided for by the Cult of the Radiant. They have no militants as the Cult of the Radiant fights their enemies on their behalf.

History

The Iron Brotherhood was founded by the apprentices of Edvard Hilmen. The Creator, and Soul Trapped within Brilliance, the Axe wielded by the Radiant. Brilliance was the finest True Magic Weapon created on the Planet, so inspired by his devotion and mania, his legacy founded a brotherhood that withstands to this day.

Tenets of Faith

The Silver Pact

1. Honor the Apprentice, strive for the favor of no other
2. Improve your Skills. Only Hammer on Steel will your tale be told
3. Do not Tolerate Low Quality Arms and Armor. Better it be destroyed now, than fail it's user
4. Be Earnest in your craft and your worship, that is your honor
5. Every piece is an act of worship, therefore do nothing less than your best
6. Wield no weapons aside from those made by you or your brother
7. Defend and Honor Our Temple
8. Defend and Honor your brothers

Ethics

The Iron Brotherhood are like their not particularly interested in Good or Evil. Outside of the Silver Pact they care little for what their brothers do in their spare time. The only sin in the eyes of the brotherhood is to betray the pact. All else is while not necessarily accepted, is in fact permitted.

Worship

While each craft and practice is an act of worship, they only formally pray over metal before it is used in a forging.

Priesthood

Anyone who formally joins the brotherhood is a priest in their order. Though only 2nd brothers and above lead the prayers over the blessed metals.
