The first brother is selected by the council of second brothers

Duties

The First Brother must see to the needs and the growth of the brothers beneath him.

Responsibilities

The First Brother directs and guides the brotherhood as a whole, though day to day operations are usually handled by the Second Brothers. The First Brother's most important directive is to guide them in their worship, and the formation of their divine materials. None but the First Brother knows how to produce the rarely seen Divine Silver. They must produce a few pounds of it every years, where it is saved, used for the best arms in the system.

Benefits

Being the first brother gives one direct control of the all brothers who swear themselves to the Iron Brother Hood. In addition, as the brotherhood produces all the arms used by The Brilliant Sons the first brother commands great influence in their ranks. Many would lay down their lives to earn the favor of the first brother.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Edvard's Silver Hammer. The Tool used to forged Brilliance, and many other worthy arms and armor. For official occasions, the First Brother will wear a suit of armor forged of Divine Steel. This armor must be forged by the First Brother

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The First Brother may be removed for gross dereliction of duties.Theoretically, the First Brother can be removed by unanimous approval of the Council of Second Brothers. Despite the organization's long history, this has never happened.
