Librarian Meadowbrook
Librarian Meadowbrook is the serene and enigmatic head of The Arcana Library in University City, a towering repository of magical knowledge and one of the last truly neutral places in all of Aurelia. Unlike the sharp-edged soldiers of the Silver Fists who guard its halls, Meadowbrook is quiet, gentle, and disarmingly kind—but beneath his soft demeanor is a mind like a steel vault.
He is a master of organization, memory, and ancient magical theory. Some say he’s read every book within the Library. Others say he is the Library.
No one knows exactly how long Meadowbrook has served as curator. He was already old when the Silver Fists were founded. Some whisper that he was appointed by the Founders of Scholara themselves. Others believe he is bound to the Library by magic, and cannot leave its walls.
- Bound to the Library: Some believe Meadowbrook is not aging naturally—or at all. If he ever leaves The Arcana Library, he may weaken or even die.
- The Lost Tome: Meadowbrook may be guarding one of the Emperor’s original grimoires from before Raventide turned on magic. He denies it—but his eyes betray a flicker of fear when asked.
