To The Cracked Wheel

To The Cracked Wheel is a tavern and inn in Norwich.   A decent tavern/inn.
It has changed hands a few times since its construction in 851.   Before the large entrance door is a small seating area with a few tables and chairs, above the door is a wooden sign with a cracked wagon wheel depicted and the name of the tavern "To The Cracked Wheel".   Upon entering the tavern, one can see set in the wall near the counter a large hearth with an old wagon wheel mounted above it, its fire does a good job at keeping the tavern and its patrons nice and warm.
One can often see a large cast iron pot with todays stew or soup cooking over the fire which fills the air with the aroma of food.   The tables and chairs are fairly old but in good condition, they have absorbed the smell of alcohol over the years.     A door next to the counter leads upstairs to the rooms that are rented out to travellers and merchants. The door behind the counter leads to the kitchen where amounts of food and alcohol are stored.     Outside is a small stable attached to the side of the tavern where merchants and travellers can rest their horses for the night.     The staff is made up of the owner Richard, his wife Ellen, three barmaids: Claudia, Jenna and the daughter of the owner Michelle who work alternating and sometimes overlapping shifts, and the stable boy Vesli who is the son of one of the merchants that lives in town.     Some of the patrons one can encounter here are the following:
Locals that come together at the end of the day to have a drink.
On occasion one will see a group of young adventurers, fresh off their latest quest and eager to regale anyone who will listen with tales of their bravery.
A flashy and flamboyant bard, strumming his lute and singing songs for the patrons with the hope of earning a few coins.
A quiet, unassuming scholar, poring over ancient tomes and muttering to himself as he sips on a mug of mead.
A group of wealthy looking merchants from The Merchant Guild, talking business.
A pair of lovers, lost in each other's eyes as they share a bottle of wine.
A beautiful and mysterious elven maiden, who seems to have a different admirer at her side every night.
