Andri was born in the dwarven fortress of Polihaf which is in the dwarven barony of Rikkanesh.
When he was still a child he assisted his mother Yolanda Oakshield who works as a gem setter.
He has two brothers, Bidok and Urist. Andri got along well with his brothers.
He had a knack for making friends easily in his mountain home and most people knew and liked him. Once he was old enough he became a miner in Polihaf and was happy with this profession. He was well respected among the other miners and made many friends there, he quickly rose to the position of Master Miner. In late March of 1004, he helped his brother Urist who returned from being an adventurer, get a position as a miner.
