Gray's Office

Grayjoy Private Investigators (6/1 Kahuenga Building)

The office of Detective Chiaroscuro Gray is entirely black, gray and white in decor. The sign for Grayjoy Private Investigators still hangs on the door (despite his wife and investigatory partner, Joy Piccante, having passed away over a decade previously).

A print of the photograph Bat Workers, featuring a pair of Sabosan manufacturers taking their lunchbreak upside down over the Atramentum Skyline decorates one of the office walls. Concealed behind the painting is the entrance to the office safe room. The room can only be accessed by inserting the removable heel of the detective's shoe into the tiny keyhole behind the painting and turning it to fit correct combination: the number of clicks in each direction spells out Piccante's birthday.

Adjoining the office is a kitchenette that the detective's secretary, Sal Friday, frequently uses to cook breakfast. Axel Webb frequently detours to join the meal on his way home from the nightshift at the Arkham Caine Museum of the Occult. Both Gray and Axel would have a much poorer diet if it weren't for Sal Friday's cooking.

Gray's Apartment (PH1 Kahuenga Building)

Gray can only reach his apartment at the top of the Kahuenga Building from the fire escape, it having been built above the main structure after it was completed.
