The Gatekeepers' Sanctuary

The grand temple of Pharasma, or The Gatekeepers' Sanctuary, is located in Sanctum Delta. It is one of the largest and most magnificent structures in the metropolis, and is dedicated to the goddess of death and fate.   The temple is an imposing structure made of dark stone, with soaring spires, intricate carvings, and stained glass windows that shimmer with shades of purple and black. The interior of the temple is spacious and airy, with vaulted ceilings that seem to stretch up into infinity.   The main sanctuary of the temple is a vast chamber with towering pillars and a massive central altar. Here, priests and worshippers gather to pay homage to Pharasma and to seek her guidance in matters of life and death. It is also on this alter that The Passage is performed for members of the ruling Solaris family. The walls of the sanctuary are adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of death and rebirth, while the windows depict images of the afterlife and the journey of the soul through the planes.   In addition to the sanctuary, the grand temple of Pharasma also contains a number of smaller chapels, meditation rooms, and halls for study and contemplation. The temple is staffed by a large number of priests and acolytes, who are dedicated to serving the needs of the faithful and tending to the many tasks required to maintain such a grand and sacred space.   Overall, The Gatekeepers' Sanctuary is a place of quiet reflection and solemn beauty, where the faithful come to honor the cycle of life and death, and to seek the wisdom and guidance of the goddess of fate.
