Fluidic Momentum

I once had a friend who was messing up with the crystals we kept finding. He too, intended to practice in secret.
When his arm fell off and he had to explain, he had to be exiled for breaking one of the existential rules.   So if you want to mess with Fluid, get propper guidance and approval.

Description

Fluidinc Momentum is ailment caused by expossure to Fluid Flow. Affecting any material, be it biological, stone, metal or anything else.
The Fluid Flow ability to enforce movement causes any material to become a high-viscosity liquid version of itself. This movement of material causes blisters of various sizes depending on the amount of Flow affecting the afflicted area. The moving material is held inside the blister only by the membrane of the organism. This membrane's thickness depends on the depth of affliction.
Non-Biological materials are held together only by the solid material covering the afflicted area. It is not uncommon to see the formations of material pouring from the empty holes.
This may be useful for the extraction of material in the wild, but in living beings it causes complications.

Cause and variations

Be it active or residual Fluid Flow, its natural influence causes the affected material to move in specific directions. This constant motion creates uncomfortable and often painful blisters in the process.   Getting hit uncontrolled Fluid Flow is often fatal, as it turns the affected person into Wobbling Flesh. If a person somehow survives the direct hit, they can attempt to take control of the Fluid Flow and move it somewhere else. Unless they succeed in moving the Flow in the desired place, its distribution around the body will be purely random.
When people are using Fluid Flow they have the leeway of choice. They can intentionally put the residual Flow in a specific place on their bodies and even select directions.   The Fluid Flow can cause movements either in a single direction or in a circular direction. Based on these, the blisters get separated into mono-directional and circling.   Mono-Directional versions of this ailment are dangerous as they can cause the accumulated material to break through its holding membrane or layer of solid material. This results in an involuntary open wound prone to infection.   Material circling inside its pocket can break through the membrane, but it is mostly stable.   The best-case scenario is when these blisters happen on the top of the skin, affecting just the upper layers of skin and meat. However, on some unfortunate occasions, the affected area goes through bone and can result in involuntary amputations as the appendages tear apart, unable to be held together by mere liquid. If the Fluidic Momentum ever affects the brain or internal organs through the initial stage, the affected person is as good as dead.

Cycle and Symptoms

The Fluid Flow first needs to settle on a specific place, where it starts to affect the physical material.
Affected material then slowly turns into high-viscosity liquid that starts moving in either random or specific directions.   This creates pockets of the affected material, on biological organisms, this takes the form of the blister with evermoving liquid. Non-biological material is either hidden under a thick enough layer of solid material to hold the moving, shifting liquid in the same place, or the liquid breaks out and pours away.   Fluid Flow does not take a long time to dissipate, being on average. After a few hours, the Flow can dissipate and the enforced motion stops. Non-Biological materials quickly solidify again, often creating curious and beautiful patterns which are considered valuable trophies by almost everyone. To a degree, some people attempt to create these patterns via FluidGraving.
Biological organisms often require days or even weeks to recover from this condition. Even though the Fluid dissipates, their organism needs to either reuse its affected material or replace it. Opening the blister and letting the liquid out results in very painful and dangerous scaring.

Cure

Curing Fluidic Momentum is easy in the early stage before the material is being turned into a high-viscosity liquid. During this stage, the Flow can be moved into another place, preferably some solid material around.
Under circumstances, where the material already turned and started moving, the Flow can still be removed, but biological organisms would require time to recover.   Smaller blisters from very minor influences can be poped to let the liquid out and hasten the recovery, the bigger ones can cause serious harm and long-term damage.
