BUILD YOUR OWN WORLD Like what you see? Become the Master of your own Universe!
A small village on the eastern banks of the Arcanus River, it lies just to the south of the Thalor Peaks. It is shrouded in mystery and curses, many of its residents seem to be separated from the traditions of most elves, and most of the population are moon elves.
A quaint town settled on the eastern side of a lazily moving river with maybe a dozen buildings, large enough to house several families each. Some of them, recognizable as commercial buildings. Stone walls and thatched roofs cover the majority of the building, save for one large lodge made from spruce logs nestled against the northeastern woods. Roads are lined with cobblestone, and the tall grasses have been cut down and turn into try, light-colored dirt. A few tufts of grass poke through the stones and dirt. The temperature is pleasant, and a gentle breeze moves the brush back and forth.

Demographics

Mostly moon elves, a handful of drow or drow-descendant moon elves, one sun elf. Many of them are hunters/village guards, others are farmers. There's a tinkerer (Lafianna), a botanist/doctor (Fara), an alchemist/enchanter (Bram), an innkeep/cook (Rixim), a tailor and general store clerk (William). Others are children or domestic workers. Everyone is working class, they have a small economy and don't see many visitors.

Government

The hunters guild and the leaders of said guild run the village, but everybody gets input in how things are run. There are no taxes and whatever upkeep there is is done by local carpenters or the homeowner themselves. It's basically a commune.

Defences

The hunters guild and any other person willing to fight.

Industry & Trade

They're a bubble economy, it's not great and they're not going to do great unless they start getting visitors again, but they can survive with or without money.   Money's use in these parts are mostly for trade should anyone travel to other cities or visitors stop through.

Infrastructure

Almost as basic as it gets, roads are dirt and some cobblestones, otherwise things are done with as little technology as they can have. They don't have bridges, but do have small row boats that can take people up, down, or across the river. They also have a small festival grounds with tables and lanterns, and a blacksmith attached to the outside of the hunter's guild with a training grounds in the back.

Assets

Silvered weapons, non-silvered weapons, shields, armor, various farm tools, an alchemist, and a tinkerer/gunslinger.

History

Founded during the War of Old Gods/Calamity. A place for moon elves to hide from the scarred lands and peoples that were the result of the war. 200 CE.

Architecture

Geography

Near mountains but relatively flat in the immediate area. Surrounded by thick forests. Eidlum's proximity causes the trees and plants to never have to wither in the winter, while it still gets cold, rainy, and even snowy. Even in the autumn, leave change but never quite fall.

Natural Resources

Wood from forests, river fish, forest animals for hunting, a few cattle for milk, grain, vegetables, and fruit from small crops. A mountain rich in silver ore to the northwest.
If the party members make an INT (nature) check relating to the wolf howls and get a 16 or above, they can tell that the various wolf howls they’ve been hearing are from different wolves.   The wolf howls are from werewolves in the area. A Nature check of 22 or above and the individual will be able to tell that those howls are not from natural wolves.   The village (Eidlum) is small but has an inn/tavern, an alchemist (who doubles as a doctor), botanist (who doubles as a doctor), a hunter’s guild, a general store, and a handful of farmers that provide food for the village. There’s a river that runs next to it, and the village uses it as a wall of protection, so they know they can’t be attacked by monsters on that side.   The Inn is called The Sleeping Owlbear   The alchemist's’ shop is called Eidlum Apothecary   The botanist does not run a shop but sells herbs out of her front garden to those who can pay.   There is a tree of great beauty encased in crystal deep in the forests northeast of Eidlum Village. The village and apothecary were named after the great tree, which is called Eidlum.   The majority of the people in this village are Moon Elves
