Dirtmage. Dirtmages are powerful (and usually young eccentrics) spellcasters dedicated to the study of the arcane arts. Benevolent ones counsel kings and queens, while evil ones rule as tyrants and pursue lichdom. Those who are neither good nor evil sequester themselves in remote towers to practice their magic without interruption. A dirtmage typically has one or more apprentice mages, and a dirtmage's abode has numerous magical wards and guardians to discourage interlopers.

Julio and Mordenkainen have had a long standing wizarding rivalry. It all began when Mordenkainen accused Julio of copying his spell Floating Disk to make Levitating Square. Since then Julio has gone out of his way to 'Copyright' his created spells (even if they are knock offs).
