This suit of Animated Armor is highly unique in design, function, and even what magics animate it.
Unlike normal Animated Objects, J.a.M.a.L.'s metallic suit makes no noise when moving it's limbs. Close visual inspection will reveal that this is because of a slight gap between all of the pieces, which seem to magically held at this distances.
J.a.M.a.L. was also constructed for a different purpose than defense or ambush. J.a.M.a.L. was built to be a safe way to gather spells and books and scrolls. It is unknown if the items J.a.M.a.L. consumes disappear or teleport to his master.
J.a.M.a.L. seems to be built with a security system that increases in defensive measures as actions to manipulate the inner workings of J.a.M.a.L. increase. This starts of minor with sirens and whistles, and escalates quickly to attempts to sever fingers inside the gaps of the suit, to expelling live, tangible, scarabs at an alarming rate.
