The Battle of Navereh
The Battle of Navereh is the recorded conflict between the Pirate Lord Matthias and the Navarch of Water Hydronus Broekhoven. The recounting of the battle is mostly recorded from an older man named Omar following Matthias after saving his life. The recounting starts as such:
Matthias left the town of Arbok, after landing on the planet and interrupting a large gang war on his way to answer a challenge from Navarch Hydronus. Omar begged Matthias to stop for awhile and rest in his home as thanks, Matthias simply kept forward and told the elder:
"There is a man in that desert, a man who has no respect for the lives of others. A corrupt man who pollutes this air. A man who's lease on life has just ended."
"With all due respect Lord Matthias, he is a Navarch! You are but a man! Turn back now and you can still spread your heroism and values to the masses! Why must you throw your life to the dogs?"
"There is a debt to be collected, Sir Omar. My blade is the debt collector, my body is the messenger."
With that, Omar simply watched as the Knight of Justice, Matthias, approached the Navarch awaiting him. Upon noticing his presence, Navarch Hydronus goaded Matthias.
"My knight in shining armor! A pleasure that you got my invite, shall we dance? Perhaps if you impress me, I might conform to your god, o great Matthias!"
Omar reported that, following his jab, Matthias simply drew his sword. In a flash of black, red, and gold energy, Matthias' sword flew forward and chopped the Navarch's ear off. Matthias responded in kind.
"This is no dance, Navarch. This is an execution."
Omar could not recount the ensuing battle, only that after 8 hours of clashing, rising smoke, and roaring water, a blood covered Matthias emerged from the wreckage.
"The debt is collected, Sir Omar. Spread word of this, and let them remember Hydronus as an example, and a fool."
With that, Pirate Lord Matthias tossed the head of the Navarch of Water towards the old man, and left for his next conquest of justice.
