The Eternal Dance
A sapient plane of existence created by Evelyn Tarth when fueled by the remnant of a Star Eater, The Eternal Dance is a series of star systems which don't follow normal rules of physics, allowing numerous astronomic features which would not normally be able to coexist in such a small area.
The entire plane would take no more than a week for a moderately fast ship to cross in normal space, which is particularly useful, as the plane does not provide access to astral, though six built-in spatial gates speed up travel within the plane significantly. The following are some features of The Eternal Dance:
- A black hole, 'Mara's Eye', at the center of the plane. Notably, this does not emit radiation which would sterilize the plane of life or suck in the various stars and planets.
- Three small blue-white stars orbiting Mara's Eye at a close distance, their eternal plasma swirling into the black hole to make it more visible.
- Six equidistant stars orbiting outside the orbits of the three, each possessing several habitable planets, including a water world, a humid jungle world, and a classic Earth-like planet with a forested moon.
- One habitable outer planet which is positioned so every twenty years its orbit passes from one of the six stars to the next.
- A gas giant with glass/quartz rings 4 light seconds across (approximately 4 times the size of Saturn's rings).
- Spatial gates set between each of the six and the outer ring.
- An outer ring of stars orbiting opposite the rotation of the inner ring composed of twenty-four stars. These stars include colors which don't exist naturally, including purple and green stars, and one of them is a 'mana star', fueled by pure mana.
- A swirling nebula fills the gaps between stars. Pockets of habitable gasses with floating flora and fauna in them are here and there among them.
- A planet in the outer ring with a titanic metal framework around it and orbital elevators, essentially a planetary ring-station writ large.
- An outer ring gas giant with floating habitable continents in its atmosphere.
- In total, there are currently 108 habitable planets or planet-equivalents in the system, making it have as many habitable planets as some clusters, all of them fully terraformed.
- Numerous space stations, cities, and arcologies intended to seemlessly coexist with nature.
