Drake

Drakes are related to Dragons, however they are not a sapient species. An adult drake is typically around 3 meters long.

Dragons see them as degenerate cousins after a fashion, which has led to there being multiple factions where they’re concerned. One of them wishes to uplift drakes and bring them up to the level of their own kind. Another faction wants to leave them to live or die on their own merits, and the last, smallest faction, wishes to help them survive to evolve on their own, if they’re able to.

The planet Valath is home to a species of Frost Drake with particularly beautiful scales.
