The Collections of Articles Written for the Challenge!

The following article is a list of the prompts and their response that I have (or will) complete for this year's Spooktober challenge. Unlike Summercamp or WorldEmber, I have no aspirations to fully complete this challenge, and will instead focus on writing the minimum amount of 13 articles for the badge!
Vanish
"In the 4000th year of the galactic calendar, during the start of the 2nd Galactical War, an untold number of ships, equipment, and most importantly people, seemingly disappeared from the Galaxy. With the fighting only increasing in ferocity, no nation had the capacity to seek out these lost voyagers and most simply assumed they had been defeated in battle. Though following the conflict, it was discovered that only a select few of the disappearances were connected with battle.   The question this leaves us with is simple, where did they go?"
Abandoned
He survived the field before him, and felt both wonder and fear in equal measure. A dozen ships - no, warships, lay derelict, some saw damage upon their hulls, and others appeared untouched, save the creeping earth, which saw to conquer them. There were no sounds from within, their crews long since departed, or, perhaps, taken.
Misfortune
Those who remained had clearly long since succumbed, it would have been terrible, alone on this planet - however beautiful it may be now, without food, water, or civilization for entire sectors. We found the remains of their ship - if they had crashed anywhere else they would have been fine, it was just a small issue with the engine. Poor buggers. Even still they lasted longer than I would've, even longer and they may have been able to meet the rescue unit on arrival.

Broken
The battle had been indecisive, despite the combined efforts of dozens of naval warships, barely a ship had even taken damage, that was until the Linkin. The damn thing was basically focused down by those bastards, the fire of 15 battleships was too much even for the pride of the Federation Navy, and before we knew it, it fell. Fell four thousand kilometres, straight into the worst possible spot on the whole damn planet. The royal palace communicated orders to the entire Apreasean Fleet, when that was destroyed, it didn't take long for more ships to break apart, and thus the battle turned in favour of Jerace. The Fall of Avanor was a disaster for the Apreas, and the Federation, it would see us fight a war alone for three decades. That single ship falling may have singlehandedly led to the death of tens of billions.
Escape
"You may find it hard to believe, but I hail from Jerace, though to say I hold any allegiance to that Imperial Republic would be completely false. It would be more accurate to say I fled, escaped. I remained in Apreas for a while, until the walls thinned and once again, I was forced away. Now, this is my home, though I hold no more loyalty to it than I held Jerace or Apreas."

Haunt
A piercing scream launched out through the air, frightening victims and rescuers alike. Within moments, a team of rescuers made towards the sound, seeking to help the one from whom it came. For everyone else, the work continued, the desolation of such an attack had left everyone broken. There had never been so many military officers on the surface at once - of that I was certain. Nearly ten minutes had passed before we heard the scream again, this time from another - one of those who had set out we later found out. Whereas before, an unarmed group had set out, this time, a dozen marines - armed for battle, moved towards the sound that haunted us. They found nothing.

Ruin
In the wake of the most devastating war in human history, ruins dominated the landscape of thousands of planets. There are few better at destruction than the Federation and Imperial Navies, and they proved it on every single one of these worlds. Anfieden, Moneyye, Avanor, it matted not the affilitation, they were each burned with the power of an uncountable number of missiles and kinetic weapons. The biggest cost was not meer buildings however - they could be rebuilt, it was the lives of billions of people, the greatest ruin of the war.
Shadow
Though the war itself has long since departed, the shadow of that conflict will remain with us for all our history. Ruins of a past civilization, that was so different to our own that they allowed such a conflict to begin in the first place. Decades of war, and for what? Just so another nation could take the place of Galactic Hegemon? War is a fools game, and we played it for 40 years.
Relic
A relic of a bygone age. A vessel that saw conflict in three civil wars, a war hero. Celebrated by peoples across our great Federation. And yet despite its status, the Navy continues its use in warfare. I believe it is only a matter of time before the Enduring can endure no more. It will find itself in a situation where they is no other option but to fight. And that will be fight, that our grand vessel will no doubt lose.

Curse
The Linkin was often thought cursed. It had ran into a thousand issues through its construction. And had no less than three captains die before they could take their post at the ship's bridge. Nevertheless, the ship was a powerful vessel of the Federation Navy, and they intended to use it. It is most famous - or infamous, for falling into a royal palace. Completing broke the Apreasean naval line during the Fall of Avanor, saw the Federation lose its biggest ally in Apreas. Whole ship was cursed and should have never seen service.
Possess
The Federation Navy possesses a power that has never been seen in this galaxy, they control more than the Federal Government they supposedly serve. For two millennia we have seen that force grow in strength, they singlehandedly took on the galactic powers of Jerace and Apalachi, without the support of Apreas or Osheni, and won. Outnumbered three to one, and yet they still emerged victorious. Today, they outnumber the combined galactic force of every other nation. We live in this galaxy at the pleasure of the Federation Navy.
Darkness
The darkness of space is often said to be the grandest part of its appearance. Every time - across all the Universe, a vessel goes faster than light itself, all their is, is darkness. Neverending. It is a remarkably beautiful experience, one that I wish everyone could experience for the first time again. There is no doubt in my mind, that the darkness of the universe supasses everything else for natural beauty.

Hunt
The agents were closing in. Dozens of them, agents of Federation Federal Intelligence. All in service of hunting down but a single individual, a foreign agent that had embedded themselves so effortlessly, that they now posed an existential threat to the nation itself. And so it was that they were hunted to the ends of the galaxy. Though, as it soon became known, they were far better than anyone else in the field of espionage. They always managed to escape, and they always continued their goal - whatever that may be. Yet ever still, the FFI hunts, little do they know, that she works under their umbrella...
