Valeryos

The largest and densest forest in Xorik , Airathul Forest holds many secrets and is home to those that revere nature. Deep within the trees, lies the wondrous elven city of Valeryos ruled by the wise Queen Naivara. Within recent years Queen Naivara has agreed to a shaky diplomatic alliance with Boriss . However, the elves are largely concerned with trouble in Airathul Forest as their dark elven cousins enjoy causing chaos on the surface. Besides the elves, the ancient organization of the Emerald Guardians also call Airathul Forest their home. Together, the guardians and elves try their best to keep the great forest free of evil but it is not easy. Airathul Forest is surrounded to the south and west by uncivilized lands populated with vicious monsters.

Government

Currently, Queen Naivara leads the elves after her late husband, King Alforan was killed during a drow war nearly two centuries ago. Queen Naivara prefers to maintain the isolationist policy of the elves but did get involved in the Great War after the war was starting to spread into her forest.

Notable Factions

Almauri: Elven supremacists that view Humans as pests that need to be controlled or worst, eradicated. Their views of other races are slightly more mild, but still extremely racist as the Almauri believe elves should rule the land. They grew in popularity during the Great War as disdain with the human war increased. Some whisper they convinced Queen Naivara to join the war. Since Lady Sariel became the Dawn Alliance representative, she has tried her best to stomp out the Almauri's influence in the court
Emerald Guardians: Existing long before the elves came to this world, the Emerald Guardians' eternal fight against evil and the unnatural has found a calling from many elves who also abhor the same thing.
Night Hunters: Followers of Raz, who they refer to as Shevarash in elven, these zealot elves wage a crusade against the drow. Although tolerated in the city and praised by some, other elves are concerned over the Night Hunters' dark tactics and bloodlust.

Notable Locations:

Illyria Palace: Named after the first queen of the elves, the grand palace is against a large hill with trees flanking it. It is a work of beauty and the pathways are open with little defense.
Emerald Tree: A holy site to Azarith, who came to the elves' aid during the War of Tears, this large tree glows with a slight green light and its leaves are a bright emerald color. The elves have constructed a wooden structure that snakes around the tree that serves as the city's main church to Azarith. The Emerald Guardians also have a base here called the Guardian Haven.
Bitter Home: Once the site of a great massacre of elves by the drow during the War of Tears, the followers of Raz/Shevarash have constructed their temple over the grounds to never forget the drow's atrocity. The area is avoided by most other elves.
