Odawari
Odawari, home of the Kasai clan and many Wayang. Mountains run through the middle of the province along with great forests that stretch across the land. Odawari sports lush green hills and fields, along with tall craggy mountains home to the most abundant source of blast fruit in Rokugan. This is what enabled the Kasai clan to create their infamous muskets, sparking a new way to wage war across Rokugan. On the eastern side of Odawari is the Steppes of Jhuga, home of many Wayang and Nagaji tribes. The Steppes are an infertile land not fit for crops, so most the people live on hunting. Humans find the place to be far too harsh to live in. Western Odawari could be no different, boasting fertile lands capable of producing crops. The fertile land however isn't as vast as Kyushu's, but it is enough to maintain the populace. In western Odawari sits Gifu castle, now home to the Kasai clan. Once upon a time, Janata city housed the Kasai, but due to the strategic positioning of Gifu castle the clan relocated there. Gifu sits at the end of the Odawari Sound. A large defensive port, held by two large castles on both entrances and Gifu being housed in the far back. To the southeast of Gifu sits Lake Nagao and the city named after it. One of the largest lakes in all of Rokugan, this lake is a sight to behold. Just west of that is one of the largest cherry blossom trees on Rokugan.
Fauna & Flora
The mountains in the southern parts of the region are home to abundant growths of blastfruit/blastbrush. Blastbrush is an essential ingredient in blastpowder that help make firearms like muskets and blunderbusses.
