Little is known of the ancient wizard king of Lineria. Having spent five lifetimes forging the nomadic desert elves into a unified polity, and another three building the grand and sprawling city of Lineria, he retreated to seclusion in the crystal palace he fashioned with his magic. That was more than fifteen centuries ago, and he has rarely been seen since. Most commoners within Asperia believe that he is a myth or a mythological figure, passed down to add gravitas to Lineria's history. In Lineria, it is whispered that he died centuries ago, and the lords of the city merely pretend that he is still alive so that they may hold on to their power, though few are brave enough to voice that belief aloud. In Imperial circles it is held that he is alive but that it is by unholy means and therefore is an abomination and deserves neither respect nor remorse.
