Castle Reikstead

Sitting atop a hill overlooking Alenor, Castle Reikstead is the ancient and nigh impregnable fortress of the Reiksguard Knights. With an five-hundred hannock high rise leading into the three-hundred hannock high fortress walls, it is from Castle Reikstead that the Reiksguard Knights fulfill their mission for the Emperor, as well as the III Legion maintains the security of the region.
Despite it's strategic importance, or perhaps because of it, the castle has never fallen to a siege. During the Imperial Waithe Castle Reikstead held out for sixteen years against a rebel siege, breaking the pretenders claim to the throne. It is this event, and a dozen others like it, that has given it the reputation it has, and made it the greatest symbol of Imperial authority for those in the nearby towns and cities.
