Transmogrifying Tower of Adalanor

The Transmogrifying Tower of Adalanor is a peculiar building located in Palan, Carcionne and numerous other locations. Its peculiarity comes from more than just its ability to exist in multiple locations at the same. Adalanor, a wild, eccentric, and decrepit wizard calls it home, and this building is just as...interesting as he is.
The exterior of the building is usually relatively unassuming, a single tower surrounded by a grove of dead trees, in turn surrounded by a wrought iron fence nearly ten feet high. There is a single path behind the lone gate in the fence that seems to lead to the base of the tower, presumably to the entrance. This is all speculation however, as a dense fog, seemingly contained by the fence, constantly hangs over and in the dead grove of trees.
Most who attempt entry into the tower are never seen again, and those that are are visibly shaken, pale, gaunt, and drained, as if the life has been sucked out of them. What they do some back with is tales of riches (and horrors), apparently boundless within the structure, the result of hundreds of years of collecting on the part of the old wizard.
