The Write Stuff

"The Write Stuff" is a small stationary shop in the Old Town commercial area of Ashton Creek, near the library. It was established in 1998, being a fairly recent addition to the town's centre, especially in the Old Town district. The owner is Emily Holden, a passionate though somewhat shy woman in her 30ies. The Write Stuff is very pleasant with a traditional academic aesthetic, with dark wooden shelves and dusty old tomes for decoration. It's quite popular among the nerdier residents of Ashton Creek, and many who shop there jokingly pledge their loyalty and vow to never buy a pen elsewhere. Some, even hold true to their word.

Beyond the charming athmosphere, the Write Stuff is also known for Emily's handcarved fountain pens. According to her, she's been carving writing implements almost daily since she was a little girl, and most customers are inclined to believe her, with the quality being quite impressive. Notably, the Ashton Creek Town Hall has taken to signing contracts and laws with one of Emmy's pens, as a show of support for local businesses.
