Simple Spiritual Containment
A simple spell circle to contain lesser spirits, though it works primarily on incorporeal ones. The spell uses the purifying and warding power of salt to form a barrier, which is reinforced by elemental Spirit to target its and the slowing and substantive aspects of ice to restrict its movements and diminish its incorporeality. A conduit of elemental harmony and spirit are used to target its mind and vital essence. A source of magic is also necessary, though for most lesser spirits, a ceremonial candle should be enough. It is activated by speaking an inscribed command, which is traditionally "TENEO". It does not require the invocation of an outside entity and the process of creating it is quite simple too. The potency of the circle can be greatly increased by also inscribing the target's name in their native language.
The inner circle must be drawn in consecrated salt and be unbroken. Should it be interrupted, the circle will fail and the spirit will be set free. The conduits of spirit, harmony, and ice should be placed onto their runes around and inside the circle, with additional piles or crystals of ceremonial salts placed upon the rune for salt. An enchanted candle or other source of magic power must be placed on the rune for breath.
