Jack WIlliams
Jack is an experienced outdoorsman, who knows the forests and mountains of Ashton Creek like the back of his hand. He works as a District Ranger for the US Forest Service in the Ravenwood. He is a loner by nature, but he is fiercely loyal to those he considers his friends whom he chooses with great care. Jack is a no-nonsense kind of guy, who is not afraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believes in. Despite his gruff exterior, he has a kind heart, and he will do whatever it takes to protect the people and places he holds dear. While he does not have a family of his own, has an excellent relationship with his niece Abigail Williams, whom he considers a daughter.

Personal history
Jack was born in Springfield Illinois, to Eleanor and Francis Williams. He joined the Boy Scouts at an early age, as he expressed great interest in the outdoors and survival. He and his family remained in Illinois until 1955, when his mother became pregnant with David Williams, after which they rather spontaneously moved to Ashton Creek. Jack only briefly left Ashton Creek to pursue higher education in forestry after obtaining his high school diploma, after which he took up a position as a District Ranger in Ashton Creek. Despite his years beginning to show, Jack remains fit and limber.

Despite growing up religious and being taught religious values during his extensive time with the boy scouts, Jack has never been particularly devout. He doesn't truly believe there is a god, but he also doesn't care to prove that there isn't. It simply doesn't matter much to him at all. He has managed to impart this nonchalant attitude upon Abigail, though she is far more convinced of the big guy's nonexistence than he.
