Christina von Malvas, Empress of the
'Nevarine' Empire, is heir to a grand set of traditions that stretch back millenia, to when her title could claim mastery of almost the entire continent. Today she barely rules over Malvan proper, hemmed in by rebellious vassals to the west and invading Orcish tribes to the east, and without her ancestral capital. An ardent militarist, Empress Christina has worked to break the realm into a series of army-controlled fiefs, angering both the landed aristocracy and the civil servants who once served as governors.
