Dualism
An older and uncommon sect of Gaeanism, Dualism asserts that there are two deities, Gaea and Terrus. Gaea is said to be the mother of the earth and humankind, handing down laws and rules, while Terrus is the father of sea and sky, and is seen as both forger and builder. The two are viewed as married, and together they made all of creation. Similarly, darkness is seen differently, with two incarnations of evil, Diabla and Lucius. Dualists often believe Gaea to be sovereign in matters of rulership on Earth, and as such political rulers are often women, though not exclusively, but the Dualist Church is egalitarian, with both women and men allowed into every position.
Dualists worship an alternate version of the First Canticle, which they say is the true version, others call it abridged and falsified. Worshiping a god beside Gaea, a male god at that, is seen as highly heretical by adherents of both Gaea Divided and Gaea Undivided, and as such Dualists have been pushed to one last stronghold, the Duchy of Ironbark. The martial priests of Dualism are known as Greenguards, and take on a more ceremonial role within their churches.
