Personal history

Arthur was raised having a simple lifestyle in Saltstone by his father, Richard. Richard was a devout Knight who taught him to wield a Sword and stand up for himself. He spent his childhood with his best friend and sweetheart Gywn. However shortly after his 18th Birthday a gang of bandits raided Saltstone, his father and many others he had come to know perishing in defence of the town.
Fueled by anger he prayed to Axe, the God of War, to grant him the power to crush those who had killed his father and others in his community. She granted this wish, so he picked up his father's greatsword and donned a set of armour generously lent to him by the local blacksmith and set out to seek his revenge.
After a long battle he slew the bandits, burning their camp to the ground. He soon fell in with the Iron Legion, an order of paladins who worship a variety of deities. He worked his way up the ranks and is well-known amongst his peers.
Arthur was recruited as part of a secret mission overseas, in which they struck an Eternal Horde Outpost, reclaiming a shard of Axx's weapon that had been kept there. Arthur was the only surviving member of this party and returned home alone on a budget airship flight, unaware that he was being followed.
