Cherubim (cheh-ruh-bm)
Responsibilities
The Cherubim of the Four Pillars are responsible for the organization and direction of their individual spheres of influence as well as overseeing their respective wards and denizens.
Other major organizations within their respective wards are also under the jurisdiction of that Pillar's Cherubim and either report directly to them or the chain of paperwork ends with them in one form or another.
Benefits
Those that are in the position of Cherubim wield significant political power in Solrune, from overseeing the judicial system to maintaining the flow of coin within the city; Cherubim are the highest in Solrune beneath the Divine Pontiff and the upper echelons of the Church.
Accoutrements & Equipment
All Cherubim upon appointment are given a unique ceremonial mask made of finely detailed gold that they are required to wear in public view at all times.
Some reason that the use of masks is to preserve the Cherubims' civilian identities while others view it as a form of initiation or sinister ritual.
