Holy Kingdom of Solrune

Culture

While not all that call Solrune their home share the holy kingdom's views on other races or religions there is still a large portion of the population that share its distasteful views. Since the founding of the kingdom and the following of the

Public Agenda

Publicly the Kingdom of Solrune promotes its' religion above all else hoping to spread the blessing of New Light to all corners of the realm. However beneath the surface and hidden behind their smiles the Kingdom of Solrune has a more sinister agenda towards the kingdoms of the realm and their people.

Territories

Controlling the centermost territory of the Dawmorn Continent the holy kingdom rules from the region of the eastern coast across the Solaris Plains to the western coast below the Fallwen Commonwealth. Sharing a border with all the foreign nation on the continent acts as a barrier preventing the Holy Kingdom of Solrune from attempting to control the entire continent.

Capital City: Sanctum

The capital city of the Solrune Kingdom, a large walled city resting at the center point of the Solaris Plains. Overlooks the center of the continent and sits at a crossroads of all northern and southern travel.

Military

Boasting a powerful military force the holy knights of Solrune are the kingdom's sword and shield often acting under direct orders of the Divine Pontiff himself. The knights of Solrune are overseen by the West Pillar and lead by Thrones, powerful warriors and leaders. Each Throne leads   Many powerful paladins and clerics make up a large portion of the holy knights and work towards teaching and punishing according to the New Light doctrine and while pure spellcasters prefer to avoid the strict restrictions of the holy kingdom there are a number of spellcasters that call power from celestial forces.

Religion

There are many religions worshiped in the Holy Kingdom with the largest being the Religion of New Light however while not outright stated there is an incredible bias towards those who do not follow the state religion from its' more devout followers. As a kingdom built around its' religion parts of that faith exist in most of the aspects of the Kingdom from its' military to its' commerce.

Foreign Relations

Due to the holy kingdom's religious views and ideology, the kingdom views the other kingdoms and groups of the realm as either less than or in need of salvation through their teachings. Often seeking a reason to go to war in the name of religion the Holy Kingdom of Solrune constantly seeks to either instigate or invest in events that target those they feel are impure.

Agriculture & Industry

As the agreed-upon laws of the realm made by all the powers that be, resurrection is considered a sacred matter, only a select few groups are allowed to commit the holy ritual the largest being the Holy Kingdom of Solrune. Considering themselves the holiest and most just group the church of New Light has cornered the market on the resurrection rituals often requiring participants to pay heft donations to the church in order to resurrect their friends or family. However due to the teachings of the New Light considering half-breeds and nonhuman races as impure beings the church either refuses to do resurrections or charges much higher prices to do so.
