Caerton

Caerton is a large city located at the foot of the Valley of the Heavens, where the largest mountain of Arthenos is situated. It is also home to the Heaven's Door, a monastery where people can train to achieve spiritual enlightenment. It is mostly used as a port city in connection with the other towns and cities across the Longwater Bay. Most of the visitors are people coming from the ports and some Monks from the Heaven's Door, who visit the city occasionally for provisions.
Recently the city has been taken over by an army of Demons, led by the Peion of War Rhyfel. Now the people have been enslaved and have to work for the Peion of Destruction.

Demographics

The settlement is populated by mostly humans. Though the major races are present. There are some half orcs that work at the docks. Some Tieflings in the bit poorer areas. And a couple of gnomes who live in a bunker together.

Government

The settlement is governed by a mayor named Richard Honinghand who was appointed by the governor residing in Furmulton.
