Blackstar
Also simply called Blackstar City, the city is the second largest in the Province of Serana. It was built above a great abondoned Dvergur city named Burnadash, or The City of the Black Star in the common tongue. Blackstar got its name from the translation.
Demographics
All the races live together. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and others all live in harmony.
Government
Blackstar is under the governmental rule of the province of Serana. Blackstar pays taxes to the capital: Novostad. Every 4 years the people can vote on a representative in the democracy that is present in Serana. The government then appoints a governor to the city.
Defences
The city is enwalled with towers where scouts and archers guard every time of day. They can use burning oil against attackers and have a couple of trebuchets to fight on long distance.
Industry & Trade
Blackstar is a port city. The port is used to trade with other provinces. It has the largest port in Serana since it is used as a stop by merchants who trade with Novostad. They trade goods they produce themselves. They export coals, Emeralds and Quicksilver which they obtain from the numerous mines in the hold. Most farm produce they can provide themselves.
They import a lot of meat and spices. Also a lot of clothing from other provinces since they have no cotton resources in Blackstar.
Infrastructure
Blackstar has it's own sewer system. To make sure piles of shit wouldn't just be laying around in the water underneath the city, the Dewin used a spell to make the water always flowing towards the sea. The city was also built above an ancient Dwarven city.
Assets
Blackstar has multiple stores which sell all kinds of goods. There is a bustling competition between the stores and entrepreneurship is looked favorably upon.
Architecture
The buildings are normal wooden with stone foundation. The poor live in shacks or on the street. The middle class live in ordinary houses with at least one bedroom and bathroom. The rich live in villas in the upper district away from the 'plebs'. There are some amazingly well constructed buildings, some made by the help of Elves or Dwarves.
Natural Resources
The great planes provide wonderful agricultural products. In the hills they cultivate all kinds of tea. The mines produce coal, Quicksilver and Emeralds which they then trade with other provinces. This is all brought to the city of Blackstar to export.
